Cancellation Policies

PLEASE NOTE:

All Chair Massage service arrangements performed by Seize the Day are initiated by formal agreement. Here is the short version of our Cancellation Policies regarding One-Time Events:
Once we have secured the necessary personnel for your chair massage event,

  1. if you cancel the event LESS than 96 hours before the requested start-time of the event, you will be charged 100% of the total pre-agreed-upon price of the event.
  2. However, if you cancel the event MORE than 96 hours before the requested start-time of the event, you will be charged only 20% of the total pre-agreed-upon price of the event (billed as an administrative fee).

And here are the long versions of our Cancellation Policies with all the “exceptions” and legalese:

Option 1:

SCHEDULED MASSAGES

Chair Massages are scheduled by appointment in
10-, 15-, 20-, 25-, 30- or 35-minute increments.

With the exception of situations involving natural disaster, inclement weather, public health emergency, acts of war or acts of terrorism, or government mandated Martial Law, which would necessitate an event being cancelled, once Seize the Day has announced that the necessary personnel have been secured for that event (1) should the Customer cancel the event less than 96 hours before the agreed-upon first day, date and time of the event, the Customer will pay 100% of the balance due of the Grand Total of the order, or (2) should Customer cancel the event more than 96 hours before the agreed-upon first day, date and time of the event, the Customer will pay Seize the Day an administrative fee of only 20% of the Grand Total. Furthermore, once Seize the Day has announced that the necessary personnel have been secured for this order, should the Customer request a change of date(s) or request a change or a reduction in time parameters for this order, then this order may be considered canceled and the Customer will be subject to the cancellation agreements of this contract as stated above.
Customer is being charged for the time necessary for the massage therapists to provide the number and length of massages ordered.  However, Customer may request a reduction of the number of massages ordered and consolidate the therapists’ schedules no less than 96 hours before the agreed-upon first day, date and time of the event without penalty, unless said reduction warrants an increase in price per hour per therapist subject to the pricing chart posted at http://orders.seizethedaymassage.com/prices.

Option 2:

NON-SCHEDULED MASSAGES

5-, 10-, 15-, 20-, 25- or 30-minute chair massages offered in not-by-appointment settings (i.e. health fairs, conventions, parties & promotions or unpredictable office climates in which participants cannot commit to specific appointment times).

With the exception of situations involving natural disaster, inclement weather, public health emergency, acts of war or acts of terrorism, or government mandated Martial Law, which would necessitate an event being cancelled, once Seize the Day has announced that the necessary personnel have been secured for that event (1) should the Customer cancel the event less than 96 hours before the agreed-upon first day, date and time of the event, the Customer will pay 100% of the balance due of the Grand Total of the order, or (2) should Customer cancel the event more than 96 hours before the agreed-upon first day, date and time of the event, the Customer will pay Seize the Day an administrative fee of only 20% of the Grand Total. Furthermore, once Seize the Day has announced that the necessary personnel have been secured for this order, unless the Customer is expanding the hours of the chair massage event without changing the date, should the Customer request a change of date, or # of hours, or in any way change, narrow or delete any of the parameters of this order, then Seize the Day may, at its own discretion, determine that the Customer has canceled this order and the Customer is subject to the cancellation agreements of this contract as stated above.
